Moving the UnitechEDI Software to a New PC

To move the EDI software to a new PC involves copying the contents of several run folders on the current PC to the new PC. In addition to the file move, the V file viewer will need to be registered on the new computer.

The following folders will need to be moved. Please note that these files reside on the root level of the current machine and should be moved to the root of the hard drive unless otherwise specified. Please disregard any folders that do not appear on your system as some components might not be used by your installation.

    • \180
    • \810

    • \81R
    • \820

    • \864
    • \997
    • \edisetup

Once the file copy has been completed you will need to go through the following step to complete the migration

  • The new computer must have a drive map to the same drive and path to the import/export folder for files going to and from your ERP system. The original path can be located in the \edisetup\ucompany.cfg file.

  • Create a new shortcut for the UnitechEDI Dashboard. The Dashboard launcher is located in C:\EDISETUP\udash.exe. Place a shortcut to this file on your desktop for easy access, and name it UnitechEDI.
  • Open the UnitechEDI Dashboard and click the Update Software button. Install the latest software updates to your C:\ drive.
