Sending ASNs from Vista

Notes: - The run files are stored under the \857 folder by trading partner in the folders \sent_(trading partner code) - The Vista export file ASNSEQ.TXT is run through the pre-translation program 857vista to standardize the data and output it to 857tosort.(trading partner code) for translation. This pre-translator can be called from the moveasn.bat file. - Some clients move files back and forth between EDIxl and Vista using mapped network drives, others must use ftp scripts to move the files. - Amazon has two trading partner codes; AMC for consolidated shipments and AMU for package shipments

1. Enter menu option 8 to ASN (856/857)
   

2. At the prompt:  Are You Sure? (Y/N)
   • Enter Y to continue or N to enter a different option.

3. At the prompt: Enter 3 character Trading Partner Code
   • Enter the code for the trading partner you are processing

4. At the prompt:  Are You Sure? (Y/N)
   • Enter Y to continue or N to enter a different option.

5. At the prompt:  Primary Pro Number <A=Accept C=Change>
   • Enter A to keep the existing or blank PRO # or C to change it.

6. At the prompt:  Secondary Pro Number <A=Accept C=Change>
   • Enter A to keep the existing or blank PRO # or C to change it.

7. At the prompt:   Display Report? (Y/N)
   • Always answer Y to display the report. You can then print it , or just view it and close the display window
     

8. At the prompt:   Send ASN to ICC.Net Network? (Y/N)
   • If you answer Y and the file is successfully sent, then then 857TOSRT.XXX file will be cleared. If you answer N, or if the file is not sucessfully sent, then the file will not be cleared, and can be sent at a later time.
